Cillian Murphy Stars In Christopher Nolan Oppenheimer’s New Film

Of course, Murphy and Nolan aren’t exactly strangers. In fact, they’ve worked together in the past, and now they’re ready to give it another whirlwind.

The film in question is a historical epic about the physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, also known as the “father of the atomic bomb”.

Based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, which won the Pulitzer Prize, the film was written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherman.

Production on the film is expected to begin early next year, and there is already a release date slated for July 21, 2023.

While we now know that Murphy will take on the lead role, we don’t know who else will play alongside him in the eventual film.

However, we can make a relatively educated guess.

After all, Christopher Nolan likes to use the same actors in several of his films.

As well as the fact that Murphy starred in Nolan’s Black Knight trilogy, as well as Creation and a small role in Dunkerque, Nolan also has a knack for hiring people like Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine and Christian Bale.

Let’s not rule out at least one of them making an appearance in this movie then, right?

Oppenheimer will also see Nolan teaming up with his wife and longtime producer Emma Thomas, and composer Ludwig Göransson, who made the music for Principe, as good as Black Panther.

The film has been the subject of a bidding war between different production companies, as Nolan is considered a pretty hot property in the film world.

Ultimately, Universal managed to get the debate under control, and they’re understandably thrilled to have landed the film.

Universal Filmed Entertainment Group President Donna Langley said, “The films of Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas have broken the boundaries of what cinematic storytelling can achieve,

“We are delighted to be working alongside them on this exceptional and extraordinary project and are grateful for their shared passion and commitment to the theatrical experience. “

Again, we can expect to see Oppenheimer July 21, 2023, so there is still a little waiting.

However, these things often tend to be worth it.
