On the podcast Bryan reveals that the creator duo are working on a plan that is “very ambitious and layered; will explore the rich and untouched history, future, and culture of the Avatar world.”

Because of the magnitude of their plans, Michael said that the stories they would bring could be told in decades, “we have so many stories that we want to show and make them come true. If it is told here it will probably take 20 years to tell everything,” he joked.

The animated series Avatar: The Legend of Aang (or The Last Airbender in America), and its sequel, The Legend of Korra, are one of many Nickelodeon animated titles that have turned into a giant multimillion-dollar franchise. With a new, exciting, touching and complex story, the Avatar franchise is a new chapter in children’s animation that adults can also enjoy.

With the support of their longtime partners at Nickelodeon and Paramount, Avatar Studios will be the vehicle for Michael and Bryan to bring the Avatar franchise back to different screens; scale this franchise to the level of the Marvel Cinematics Universe with sequels, spinoffs, and more.
