AKARTA– Engkan Herikan finally opened his voice about his lawsuit to Tina Toon. As is known, the creator of the Bintang song previously sued the singer and related parties with a claim of Rp. 10.7 billion for copyright at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court in April 2021.

Engkan Herikan initially admitted that he was surprised to learn that the name of the creator of the song he and his best friend had changed to Basia Roulette and Baros Roulette.

“Here I want to clarify, actually I was surprised by this Bintang song with my wife too, the creator of this Bintang song was changed,” said Engkan Herikan at Garden Avenue Rasuna, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday (30/8/2021).

From this, Engkan asked for clarification on this to related parties including Tina Toon as the singer who had sung the song.

“So I’m here with my friends, I also want to ask for clarification, why can this be changed. Because of its position, this song was created by Anima’s friends in the 2000s,” he said.

Engkan also denied that he only wanted to socialize in this case. He hopes that ownership of the song is returned to its original state.

“Sorry, sorry, I really don’t want to do this. The point is, let’s clean it up, let’s clean up the name Engkan again, please,” he said.

On the other hand, Tina Toon revealed that her position in the lawsuit is only as a singer. He also emphasized that the ownership and management of songs and copyrights were the domain of the label, not him. He just followed the contract to sing the song.
