Here’s A Look At Visions, The New Star Wars Series Made By Anime Creators – The Third

When in December of last year Disney announced Star Wars: Visions, The company only limited itself to anticipating that this new animated production of the space franchise would be made by various Japanese creators and would seek to capture some of the influence of anime.

Well now in the framework of the Anime Expo Lite 2021, Lucasfilm finally released more details about this new production and revealed a special look to what will be Star Wars: Visions.

As you can see later, this video is not a trailer, however, in just over three minutes it shows various images and scenes of the different deliveries that will shape this bet, highlighting not only the different creators but also the different aesthetic and narrative bets.

According to the star wars website, during the panel on the series it was explained that the stories of this production are in different places in the chronology from the special franchise and will involve both new and familiar characters.

“We really wanted to give these creators ample creative space to explore the full imaginative potential of the Star Wars galaxy through the unique lens of anime.” said James Waugh, the executive producer of this project. “We realized that we wanted them to be as authentic as possible to the studios and creators who were making them, made through their unique process, in a medium in which they are so adept. So the idea was that this is their take on all the elements of the Star Wars galaxy that inspired them, hopefully to make a really amazing anthology series, unlike anything we’ve seen before in the Star Wars galaxy. ” .

Initially Star Wars: Visions will contemplate the following stories:
