Outside, The Professor tries to manage the strings of the situation that is lived internally and that has gotten out of control. Meanwhile, the popular character has Alicia Sierra, his greatest enemy, who has just given birth to his daughter by his side.
The truth is that Denver, Rio, Stockholm, Bogotá, Manila, Palermo, Lisbon and Helsinki no longer have a choice, if they want to survive and flee with their loot they must act before it is too late: the robbery is about to end.
The outcome of the story is available on Netflix from this Friday, December 3. It is a total of five chapters of approximately one hour each, in which the action will be guaranteed more than ever.
With this fifth season, The Money Heist will put an end to the most successful Spanish-language series of all time on Netflix.
And as many already suffer from the end of the series, the streaming platform has announced that “the universe of The Money Heist continues ”, and during the premiere event of the series in Spain – in which the protagonists were present -, he announced that they are already preparing a spin-off of the series.
With a short 26-second video clip, Netflix revealed that this series will be based on the life of Andrés de Fonollosa, better known as Berlin, who was the leader of the band during the robbery of the National Currency and Timbre Factory, the first of the band.
“For some, stealing is not just a job, it is a question of freedom, of rebellion, it is a work of art, a family tradition,” says the clip.
As read in the audiovisual, “Berlin always has something in its hands and this time it will not be the exception.”
The production will star Pedro Alonso -who has given life to this character since the first season- and will premiere in 2023.
Originally produced by Spanish television Antena 3 and with a limited budget, this series about the theft of the National Currency and Timbre Factory has become a global success, especially when acquired by Netflix.
Such was its success that the red suits and masks of Dalí from the thieves in the series, as well as the Italian partisan song Bella Ciao, appeared in protests around the world and have been the protagonists of costume parties in recent years.
Such was the international success of The Money Heist, which in 2019 Netflix chose Madrid to install its first European studio.

A few hours after the premiere of the explosive first part of the fifth season of The Money Heist -which premiered in September-, it was already ranked first in the top of the most watched on the platform, reaffirming that it was one of the most anticipated series among Netflix users.
According to the FlixPatrol site -which keeps track of which are the most viewed productions around the world on that platform of streaming- in September and just days after the premiere of the first part of its last season, that the Spanish series was already number one in 82 of the countries in which Netflix operated, including Costa Rica.
In this way, the entire planet was in near perfect tune with the release of the first five episodes of the final season. With this, it can be anticipated that something similar may happen in these last five chapters.
The series was created by Alex Pina and, these last chapters, are carried out by Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Rodrigo de la Serna, Darko Peric, Najwa Nimri, Hovik Keuchkerian, Luka Peros and Belén Costs .
