  • Machine Gun Kelly – Downfalls High :

Seeking to think outside the box, the most punk of US rappers, Machine Gun Kelly is an artist who likes to surprise his audience. Proof of this is the posting of this feature film called Downfalls High. Unveiled on YouTube, this video produced by the artist himself is presented as a rock opera written from the songs of Tickets to my Downfall, his latest album, released on October 2, 2020, and produced by Blink182 drummer Travis Barker. An opus that he had also described as a kind of story-telling, which naturally facilitated the creation of such a concept. Through this new work, MGK cynically describes fame and all the lonely moments associated with that starification. Many nods are also made to Grease, through the love story between the 2 protagonists, but also from an aesthetic point of view. The pink punk-rock visuals clearly refer to the famous musical. A video, in which appear guests like Trippie Redd, BlackBear, or Iann Dior, and which made the million views in 24 hours.

  • Joey Bada $$ – Let It Breathe :

On the occasion of his 26th birthday, it was Joey Bada $$ who gave a gift to his fans by unveiling the title Let It Breathe. An event therefore since the New York rapper had not sent solo music since his 3-track EP called The Light Pack and released in July 2020. For this new clip directed by Levi Turner, Waqas Ghani and Joey Bada $$ himself, we see the performer of 327 rap in a nocturnal atmosphere, right in front of a shining Big Apple of 1000 lights. Through a text stuffed with egotrip, Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott (real name) urges listeners to give him all the respect he deserves.I want you to celebrate me like I’m already dead, like this crown on my head is heavy. Put my photo in the dictionary next to ‘legendary’.”

  • PnB Rock feat. King Of – Rose Gold :

PnB Rock unveiled Rose Gold. An unfortunately appropriate title since it pays tribute to his missing friends, like King Von, assassinated on November 6, 2020 in Atlanta, and which we find featured on the song. With dominant reds and numerous calls to fire, the clip that is offered to us remains quite psychedelic in its atmosphere and its editing. PnB recently spoke to Zane Low about the very special relationship he had with Von before his death. A connection that had been created through their mutual friend, Lil Durk : “He was just a cool guy, he was different. It was rare for guys like that. […] We were more like brothers, in that… if I was ever in his city, he was in my city…”.

  • Young Dolph – Large Amounts :

Young Dolph just released the track clip Large Amounts, extract from the Deluxe edition of his album Rich Slave, published this January 22 and on which we find 8 unreleased tracks. A clip accompanied by some visual effects, produced by PRE, in which the native of Memphis rides at the wheel of a vintage Merco or on foot, before taking us with him to the kitchen to concoct chicken thighs and smoke his blunt in company of a friend. The interpreter of RNB (featuring with Megan Thee Stallion) gives us here a rather paradoxical text, describing his unconditional love for luxury and beautiful things while being aware that they help bring it to an end. Rich Slave is Young Dolph’s 26th project. A substantial number of projects which faithfully shows the pace and productivity of the 35-year-old artist.

  • Lil Skies – Dead Broke :

Lil Skies is back in the spotlight, with the release of a new 14-track album called Unbothered on which we find Wiz Khalifa and Lil Durk. To accompany his release, the 22-year-old rapper unveiled the song’s clip Dead Broke. Directed by Jandora Media, the short film opens with archive footage of Kimetrius Foose (real name) as a kid. It is then through a rather introspective clip that the artist reveals himself to his audience, showing a part of his personality more reserved and withdrawn. Unbothered is Lil Skies 5th project. The 1st of them, Shelby, dates back to 2016, when he was still only 17 years old.
