The Brutal Trilogy That Star Wars Is Preparing

The Star Wars franchise is expanding on Disney Plus with impressive series, but they will also make a new animation trilogy.

Before the first movie of Star Wars in 1977, George Lucas created a story that was modified until it became the adventure of the young Luke Skywalker and the rest of the rebels facing the Empire. But originally the plot was going to be very different with a Jedi already established called Deak Starkiller. Now he wants to go back to that idea and make an animation trilogy about this character, which would be something shocking.

Although obviously if they do the story of Starkiller will have to modify many things, since the origin may be different from that of Luke Sywalker, but his later adventures were cut before the scripts for The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). Therefore, the elements of the second draft of Starkiller merged with the other episodes that complete the original trilogy of Star Wars.

Curiously, it is not the first time that these drafts of George Lucas, since between 2013 and 2014, Dark Horse Comics public The Star Wars by JW Rinzler and Mike Mayhew. The eight-issue series adapted the script, with Deak Starkiller fighting alongside his younger brother Annikin Starkiller.

Disney has made the decision due to the success of What if …? and Visions, which belong to Marvel Studios and Star Wars, but they’re not exactly part of the canon of live action movies or series.

What will this trilogy be about?

George Lucas wrote this story before the final script of Star Wars: A New Hope. The plot takes place after the Jedi Rebellion, where the young man Deak Starkiller And his brother Annikin settled in the Fourth Moon of Utapau with his father Kane Starkiller. However, a Sith knight discovered their hiding place, forcing the family to flee to Aquilae. He and his father had previously been warned by Annikin, and when they try to steal the ship from the Sith knight, a Banta Four, the Sith Knight ambushed them and killed Deak.
