The numbers speak for themselves
So if you are through with “Squid Game” and are desperately looking for a new favorite series, you should definitely take a look here. “My Name” was released on October 15, 2021 on the US streaming service. The numbers are already very promising: As the magazine “Forbes” reports, “My Name” already ranks 9th on the Netflix top 10 list in the USA and 6th on the TV list.
What is “My Name” about?
“My Name” is about Yoon Ji-Woo, played by Han So-hee (26) — a woman who wants to avenge the death of her father. She turned to a criminal syndicate – and smuggled herself into the police as a mole. On the one hand, the criminal gang should benefit from this; on the other hand, Yoon Ji-Woo has the opportunity to investigate her father’s case in detail. What follows is a campaign of revenge with lots of surprising twists and turns and lots of thrills. The first season consists of eight episodes. Kin Jim-min is responsible for the direction, the screenplay comes from Kim Ba-da. The series falls into the genres of crime fiction and thriller.
“Squid Game” is conquering the series world
Whether “My Name” can actually beat “Squid Game” remains questionable – after all, “Squid Game” had the best Netflix series launch of all time and helped Netflix to grow strongly. The viewers definitely seem to like “My Name” – and the success after a few days is something to be proud of!
