In November, the best news arrived for fans of Taylor Swift. It is that the artist launched Red (Taylor version), a re-recording of the album released in 2012 that allowed him to regain ownership of his own songs after a long conflict with the record company that accompanied him until now. There was one song that fans were eagerly awaiting: Very good. Everything indicates that it was dedicated to Jake Gyllenhaal and the actor was not far behind to answer.

The new album included previously unreleased tracks, as well as new versions of songs previously released on digital platforms. The most striking was precisely All Too Well, which this time had a ten-minute extension and even a short film starring Dylan O’Brien et Sadie Sink. The pictures speak for themselves: the short film exposes a toxic relationship between a twenty-year-old girl and a much older man.

It worked as a clear reference to the relationship Taylor Swift had with the performer who recently featured. Guilty in Netflix. Love, abuse, reconciliation and resilience are just a few of the condiments included in the artist’s particular music video. This quickly caused her followers to come out to defend her once again and repudiate the attitudes Jake allegedly had with her. But now… his answer has come!

W Magazine called out 35 actors to be part of a 2021 Best Performances edition. As expected, he was included and encouraged to pose for the cameras. However, one particular accessory caught the eye. Gyllenhaal wore a Red shirt and some glasses of the same color in the shape of a heart, tone that gives its name to the famous album.

That’s not all! The glasses are the same ones that Swift wears in the music video. 22, song also included in the album Reports. The outfit was in charge of stylist Sara Moonves, who admitted the actor felt “Very inspired during the photo shoot”. Was this Jake’s idea? Everything would indicate that this is how he must wear it with humor after some fans accused him of mistreatment.
