Too Bitter, Zendaya Hopes Spider-Man No Way Home’s Ending Is Changed : Okezone Celebrity

JAKARTA –Spider-Man: No Way Home features a pretty bitter ending for fans. Zendaya as the main actress admits that she regrets this ending and hopes to see a different ending for Peter and MJ.

Adopting the concept of Spider-Man’s secret identity as the driving force for the story, the film No Way Home closes with Doctor Strange’s spell who successfully casts a spell and makes everyone forget who the real person behind the Spider-Man mask is; including MJ the lover. Zendaya, who plays MJ, had hoped that this film would not end like that.

“Peter and MJ were supposed to go to college together, and then they rocked out into the sunset romantically. Unfortunately, No Way Home is not a film like that,” he said.

Although it ended with a bittersweet ending, it is undeniable that the ending of No Way Home managed to open up many possibilities and potential for upcoming Spider-Man films in the MCU. What’s more, now Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have reached a new agreement and will be working on another trilogy for Spider-Man in the future.

As the closing of the MCU in 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home managed to become the highest-grossing film in America last year and also won the title of best Sony Pictures film of all time. Within three weeks, this film has managed to reap revenues of USD 1.3 trillion or around Rp. 19.5 trillion from all over the world.

Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Benedict Cumberbatch, and also featuring Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Alfred Molina, Spider-Man: No Way Home is still in theaters. Within four months, No Way Home will soon be followed by the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which is ready to air on May 6, 2022.
