From now on every model series with (RED) special model

The partnership between FIAT and (RED) is being further expanded: the new Fiat (Tipo)RED and the new Fiat (Panda)RED expand the (RED) special models of the Fiat 500 family that were introduced in September last year. In this way, FIAT complements the journey to sustainability with a social commitment in order to make a contribution to a better future in this area as well. This is made possible by partnering with (RED), an organization that has been fighting pandemics around the world for 15 years.

FIAT represents and stands for the value of the Italian “dolce vita”. In the times of Corona, however, there can be no “sweet life”. Instead, FIAT and (RED) are now strengthening their partnership aimed at fighting pandemics with the expanded range of models named after (RED). This will also expand the opportunities to spread the message of shared social commitment while encouraging customers to play an active role in moving towards a better tomorrow.

In the fight against the corona, FIAT offers a number of simple solutions that contribute to optimal hygiene on board.

  • All models of the (FIAT)RED family are equipped with a cabin filter in the air conditioning system, which retains up to 99.9 percent of all bacteria thanks to a highly effective biocide substance and also prevents the formation of aerosols in the interior.
  • The steering wheel and seat surfaces, i.e. the interior surfaces with a high proportion of contact, are also treated with a biocide that is highly effective (up to 99.9 percent) in fighting viruses and bacteria.
  • The vehicles are given the finishing touch by a “Welcome Kit”, which is supplied as standard with every model in the (FIAT)RED family. It consists of a special key cover[1], a liquid dispenser[2], exclusive floor mats and the Prime cabin filter.

Fiat (Tipo) RED and Fiat Tipo Cross Station Wagon

The new Fiat (Tipo)RED is based on the Cross body variant, which is available as a 5-door and now also as a station wagon. The Fiat (Tipo)RED can be recognized by (RED) logos on the B-pillars and body color Passione Rot. The cover caps of the exterior mirrors are always painted red.

Sustainability also plays a major role in the small details of the new Fiat (Tipo)RED. The seat covers are made of SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC fabric and feature the FIAT logo and red stitching. SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC is a new sustainable, fully traceable raw material from the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE derived from plastic waste fished from beaches, the seabed and the surfaces of the oceans, rivers and estuaries by the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE as part of clean-up programs . SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC is made from 100 percent marine plastic.

The Fiat Tipo Cross model family is growing. The new Kombi body variant meets the needs of families who need a lot of space. The luggage compartment volume increases by 110 to 550 liters compared to the 5-door. This means, for example, that there is space for another suitcase in the rear.

The new Fiat Tipo Cross station wagon shares the same design features as the 5-door. These include the sleek finishes of the custom grille, body-colored exterior mirror caps, and brushed chrome bodywork details, including door handles, roof rails, and inserts in the side skirts, lower grille, and fog lamp bezels. There are also 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels painted matt black and full-LED headlights and taillights with LED technology.

The entire range has been designed for customers who want space and versatility from their vehicle without sacrificing style. This makes the Fiat Tipo the ideal car for, among other things, transporting equipment, pursuing hobbies in the great outdoors or for comfortable travel.

The new Fiat (Panda)RED

The new Fiat (Panda)RED is based on the City Cross trim level and features the same body colors, logos and seat covers as the also new Fiat (Tipo)RED.

The Fiat Panda is the market leader in Italy and also – together with the Fiat 500 – tops the segment in European statistics. A total of around eight million Fiat Pandas have been produced to date.

The new Fiat (Panda)RED carries the message of the organization (RED) to all fans of this icon. This makes the Panda a further demonstration of FIAT’s extensive partnership with (RED) and the brand’s social commitment.

The new Fiat (Panda)RED has a hybrid drive as standard, underscoring the brand’s commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly urban mobility.

The new Fiat (500)RED

The new Fiat (500)RED is now equipped with a detail that is extremely useful in everyday life: the “Sanitizing Glove Box”. This innovative system is based on a UV-C lamp built into the glove compartment, which effectively disinfects surfaces such as smartphones, keys and other small everyday objects. UV-C light kills more than 99 percent of all viruses and bacteria on object surfaces from a distance of two centimeters within one second.

Located in the dashboard glove box, the UV-C lamp helps to disinfect the surface of objects exposed to it, e.g. B. Your smartphone, door keys and other small everyday objects. In practice, one simply places small personal items in the glove box, closes it and activates the system by pressing the dedicated button on the center console. An external blue light and beep will let you know when the 3-minute cleaning cycle is complete.

As usual, FIAT offers an easy-to-use and practical solution with the new “Sanitizing Glove Box”. “Protect the earth and its inhabitants” – the motto of the new Fiat 500 inspired the engineers to find another innovative solution.

The Fiat 500X in model year 2022

The Fiat 500X identifies itself even more strongly as a member of the Fiat 500 family in the model year. A striking feature on the radiator grille is the new 500 logo, and the FIAT lettering is now emblazoned on the rear. These two details make the Fiat 500X even more contemporary and are an analogy to the design of the new Fiat 500.

The Fiat 500X is available in Club, Cross and Sport trim levels, as well as in both Saloon and Dolcevita body styles with a fabric top.
