How to get a sharp claw in Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl
It is one of the best known objects in the series, and, how could it be otherwise, it is once again present in Brilliant Diamond and Shimmering Pearl. We talk about the Sharp claw.
What is this object for? It is more useful than you think, and it is that gives a competitive advantage in game combat… but it is also a prerequisite to evolve a Pokémon.
I’m sure you’re already wishing find the sharp claw after knowing this, so we’re going to show you which Sinnoh locations you can find her in. Let’s go with it.
The Victoria Street It is a cave that you have to go through to get to the Pokémon League in Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl. You can only access it when you have the 8 gym medals.
In this cave you can find a sharp claw, although we recommend that you you enter through the back door (the one next to the Pokémon League). You will find it inside a Poké Ball.
Follow the next steps:
- The purple-clad Coach passes by and lowers the rocks next to him using Rock Climber.
- Go left, and then head north at the three-way intersection with the three nearby rocks.
- Turn left at the next intersection, and go straight until you hit a wall.
- Then go south on that path until you see three rocks closing off the exit.
- Go straight and at the bottom you will find a Poke Ball containing Sharp Claw.
This route is located at the exit of Victoria Street in Brilliant Diamond and Shimmering Pearl, but you won’t be able to access it first.
To be able to reach route 224, you need to have completed the Pokémon League. As a consequence, and if you’ve seen all of Sinnoh’s Pokémon, you will have the National Pokédex.
A sharp claw is found on this route, so follow these steps to find it:
- From the Victoria Street exit, head north and then east to reach the sea.
- Use Surf to dive into the water.
- Go south along the shore (use repellent to avoid getting wild Pokémon)
- At the bottom of that path you will find a small piece of land, where you will find a Poké Ball. Inside is the sharp claw.
This is the last way to get a sharp claw. You will save the way, but you will need to have battle points.
Once you are in the Battle Tower, go to one of the outlets in the building. You will see that they sell the sharp claw, at a price of 5 battle points.
To obtain battle points you will have to win battles in the Battle Tower. To be able to access it, it is mandatory to complete the Pokémon League.
What is sharp claw for?
The sharp claw is a tremendously useful object. As we have said above, it serves to evolve a Pokémon, but it is also a competitive advantage.
For starters, if you equip Sharp Claw on a Pokémon, it have a better chance of landing a critical hit. Remember that this implies that their attacks do more damage.
The other sharp claw utility is evolve Sneasel, the sinister and ice type Pokémon introduced in the second generation. This can become Weavile.
To evolve Sneasel into Weavile, you must Level up your Pokémon when the Sharp Claw is equipped… and alone in the evening.
