New reader test: Test the Antec Dark League Dark Fleet DF800!

In cooperation with Antec, we are now looking for two Hardwareluxx readers and community members who want to put a brand new gaming case from the manufacturer to the test and who want to keep it for our forum after a comprehensive review. We are now starting the application phase for our latest reader test.

Antec is making a total of two copies of the DF800 available. It is a midi tower case that aims to set new standards in terms of cooling performance. The 448 x 479 x 220 mm large chassis has an airy mesh surface on the front and the lid, which is supposed to benefit the cooling inside. On the front, the tiny openings are composed in several different geometric patterns, which means that the front is reminiscent of the surface of a diamond.

Due to the numerous small holes, you can also see the colorful lighting system, because three 120 or 140 mm fans are hidden directly behind it, which suck in the fresh air, pull it through the housing and warm up again on the back and via the lid promote. There are additional mounting spaces for fans on the rear and in the floor. A triple FAN radiator for water cooling can even be accommodated in the lid.

To further showcase the interior, there is a side panel made of tempered glass. The power supply unit is mounted in the floor together with the hard drives and is therefore housed in a separate cooling chamber. Behind the mainboard tray there are additional mounting spaces for 2.5-inch drives and even a larger 3.5-inch model. The Antec DF800 also has numerous feed-throughs and retaining clips for stylish cable management.

A total of an ATX-sized motherboard, three 3.5-inch drives and three additional 2.5-inch hard drives can be installed. The maximum height for the processor cooler is 175 mm, otherwise graphics cards up to 405 mm long can be installed. This means that even the most powerful high-end models are supported without any problems. When choosing materials, Antec relies on a mix of steel and plastic. The gaming bolide weighs around 6.8 kg.
