The clues came from the British Board of Film Classification, the agency in charge of rating movies and trailers in the UK.

It was BBFC itself who clarified the misunderstanding through Twitter. The agency has explained that the trailer in question was a version for Screen X, immersive cinemas.

In fact, it is a trailer that was released on December 6, while the release date that appeared in the file on its website referred to the premiere of the film.

The British Board of Film Classification has updated the file so that the release date is that of the trailer itself, avoiding generating new confusion.

So we will have no new full trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home next week, even though Friday December 17 we can already enjoy the film in theaters.

Following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the secret identity of Marvel’s wall-crawler is uncovered.

Seeking to regain normality and stop being the center of attention, Peter will ask his ally for help, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Strange’s spell goes awry and multiple villains from other realities fight their way into the main MCU reality to hunt down Spider-Man.
