Los Angeles California.- Since the end of August, the state began the second round of payments of the California Golden Stimulus. It is expected that from this Friday a new batch of 784,000 new payments will leave the state coffers. However, there are still those who do not receive the first payment and could lose it, according to financial expert Carlos Guamán.
How will the golden stimulus payments be processed this week?
According to the California Tax Board, this week’s payments will be distributed as follows:
- 34,000 direct bank deposits
- 750,000 mail-in check shipments
“ Many did not do the taxes”Said Carlos Guamán, an expert in finance. Noting that until October 15, many people did not submit their statements. Filing taxes was the only gold state requirement for eligible Californians to receive checks for $ 600 or $ 1,200.
Confusion over eligibility has been another factor that could leave eligible individuals without payments. Below we clarify doubts:
Regardless of whether the person has an ITIN or Social Security, filing state taxes is key to receiving the benefit. Unlike the federal government program, California does not have a registration tool that allows non-filers to circumvent that requirement.
Income limit amount to receive the state stimulus
California does not have a higher income threshold for different types of taxpayers. That is, the annual income limit amount is
$ 75,000 and applies for families or individuals.
There are eligible individuals who filed their 2020 taxes on time, however their returns have not yet been processed. Therefore, if you have already filed your taxes, you just have to be patient, according to the California Tax Board.
Taxpayers who filed after September 1 and generally get their refund through direct deposit will likely not receive payment until 45 days after their return has been processed.

Can I still file my taxes?
According to Carlos Guamán, eligible people can still make their 2020 declarations and thereby guarantee the payment of the California Golden Stimulus.
“Many things are changing,” the expert explained that so far there are no guarantees that the state government will extend the benefit for next year’s returns. We recommend you the options and file the taxes even after the extension, but do it this year.
