Tania Mendoza, actress who starred in the movie ‘ The mere queen of the South ‘, from 2005, was shot to death last Tuesday while accompanying his 11-year-old son to soccer training in the state of Morelos, Mexico.
According to local media, the events were recorded at 5:30 p.m. at Deportivo Estrada Vista Hermosa, located in the Lomas de Cortés de Cuernavaca neighborhood (50 miles south of Mexico City), where the “Felinos” soccer club plays.
According to witnesses, cited by the Morelos newspaper, a man on a motorcycle arrived at the place, who approached Maria Guadalupe Torres Mendoza, 42, known under the stage name of Tania Mendoza, to shoot him once in the chest and, immediately, flee.
Minutes after suffering the assault, paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the singer, but found the woman dead.
Rafael Sánchez Rojas, 41, appeared at the scene, who claimed to be the actress’s husband. It was this person who recognized the body.
Tania Mendoza had already suffered an attack
According to information from the Mexican newspaper The universal, Torres Mendoza had already suffered another attack, which happened in september 2010.
Then, the actress filed a complaint for those events with the Deputy Attorney General for Special Investigations of the then Attorney General’s Office of Morelos, for the crimes of Aggravated vehicle theft, home burglary and illegal deprivation of liberty committed against him, his partner and his son, then six months old.
