Oil inside – Food Pharmacy

Jag not only loves to lubricate the skin with vegetable oils, you have probably understood. I boost my inside with oil as well. Especially during the cold winters and also because I age. Who wants to be a dry ice, type…

I am 57 years old and it is several years since I had my last period. So I’m simply in menopause, that is, the wise woman’s time. So listen to this wise woman when she says that you should lubricate your inside both with a teaspoon, or a tablespoon of some good vegetable oil. So which oil should you choose to take internally?

I alternate oils. Partly because I think it’s good not to let the body get used to just one. So take an oil for a few months, ie run out of the bottle. Oils have a tendency to turn rancid and some faster than others.

In her education as a SELF-HEALING THERAPIST, the nutrition expert Lina Åhlen took up a study that looked at the relationship between diet and skin elasticity, moisture and wrinkles. It was seen that a large intake of fat, both saturated and unsaturated, was associated with fewer wrinkles and better elasticity, but for those with a high intake of butter and margarine, it showed the opposite, ie more wrinkles.

The cells’ membranes need Omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, which helps to influence the skin’s structure and regulation of moisture. A study with flaxseed oil (contains the omega 3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid) and borage oil (contains GLA) showed that the intake significantly increased the hydration of the skin and reduced inflammation in the skin after 12 weeks. Those who received flaxseed oil in the study got both smoother and smoother skin. It was also seen that an increased intake of linolenic acid from the food contributed to fewer wrinkles, less dryness and thinned skin.

Olive oil

For a while I take a teaspoon (sometimes a tablespoon actually) with really nice olive oil that is both cold pressed and extra virgin, it’s important! The body needs fat, but it should be the right kind of fat. Olive oil is nutritious and full of Omega 3 and Omega 6. It is polyunsaturated fat that is needed for a number of important functions in the body such as regulation of blood pressure, heart function, protects the cells from oxidative stress, the immune system, cell renewal and more.

MCT oils

MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglycerides, which translated into Swedish means medium-chain saturated fatty acids. The advantage of fatty acids is that the body can quickly absorb them, they are sent to the liver where they in turn are converted to ketones. This allows the body to get energy quickly, without affecting blood sugar and insulin.

The oil is said to have seven different benefits.

  1. It promotes weight loss.
  2. Provides energy quickly.
  3. Helps the body burn fat stores.
  4. May have positive effects on epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and autism.
  5. Counteracts fungal infections.
  6. It is said to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
  7. May cause more even blood sugar levels

Hemp oil

Is also rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. The oil contains antioxidants, vitamin E, magnesium, iron and zinc, among others.

Flaxseed oil

Is rich in Omgea 3, 6 and 9. Flaxseed also contains a lot of nutrients that are good for your heart. There are also several studies that show that flaxseed oil can lower blood pressure and that alpha-linolenic acid can reduce inflammation in the arteries.

Okay? Now you have some wonderful oils to choose from. For do not forget that our exterior. How our skin feels and looks also reflects our inside and shows our lifestyle, diet and nutritional intake and of course also genetically. Even though we know that genetics is now a subordinate lifestyle. Here I mean that with your lifestyle you can meet Olle at the gate. Just because your mom or dad has a condition, etc., does not mean that you also get it, a bit depending on how you take care of yourself. That’s what lifestyle is all about. But all in all, it affects the skin’s appearance and function.

A good thing, if you do not get enough nutrition from the food is to eat some supplements.
