The kermesse, which will be inaugurated next Sunday, will also be an opportunity for to strengthen the historical affinities between the municipalities of Fivizzano and Volterra, a friendship that has its roots in the past and that has seen the two neighboring municipalities several times over the centuries. Relationships that are reconnected thanks to the Vie del Sale: ancient paths used for transport and trade, today rediscovered and enhanced for the enjoyment of slow and sustainable tourism.

Three sculptures dedicated to the symposium were created with the Volterra salt, which will be exhibited out of competition and will be visible for the duration of the event. “An unusual material – explains Francesca Nobili, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Fivizzano – which for the occasion has been shaped and will give shape to works that once again testify and are a symbol of the ancient friendship between the municipalities of Fivizzano and Volterra ».
