Eric Zemmour, Juan Branco, Aurore Bergé… The conservative media “Black Book” wants to stir broad

An enormous red armchair, black hangings, almost professional lighting: welcome to the Livre noir studio, located in a Haussmannian apartment in Paris. This new medium, For the moment broadcast on YouTube, since spring 2021 has been offering the conservative right-wing river talks in the form of a case: Charlotte d’Ornellas, journalist at Current values, Laurent Obertone, the author of the catastrophist book France Clockwork Orange (2013), the videographer Papacito or Florian Philippot, the ex-right arm of Marine Le Pen, responded favorably to the invitation of Erik Tegnér and François-Louis de Voyer d’Argenson, the two founders, close to Marion Maréchal.

The two founders, who dream of reaching a large audience and of being “picked up at the” 20 Hours “”, assure that Livre noir is “neither on the right nor on the left”

At 28, the first, who owns 40% of the capital of Livre noir, spent several years at the National Front then at the UMP and at Les Républicains (LR), promoting the union of the rights, before leaving “Any political engagement a year and a half ago”, he explains. The second was active alongside Marine Le Pen’s niece, Marion Maréchal, within the Audace circle, a club of entrepreneurs close to the former member of the National Assembly (RN). “I resigned from the presidency of Audace to make things clearer. Our statutes prohibit us from supporting a candidate or being inserted ”, he indicates, assuring that it is not a question of electing Eric Zemmour, interviewed in June before all the media and which constitutes their biggest audience success on YouTube (961,000 views).

Erik Tegnér and François-Louis de Voyer d’Argenson, who dream of reaching a large audience and of being “Resumed at” 20 Hours “”, assure that Black Book is “Neither right nor left”. They take as proof the variety of interviewees: Juan Branco – who tense part of their audience -, the deputy La République en Marche (LRM) Aurore Bergé, the essayist Thomas Guénolé and the writers François Bégaudeau and Jacques Attali (two interviews soon online) have thus accepted. The duo also contacted anti-racist activist Rokhaya Diallo and former socialist deputy Jean-Christophe Cambadélis.

“Same type of audience as CNews”

Despite the denials, the editorial line is resolutely conservative: “We have the same type of audience as CNews [la chaîne d’information de Vincent Bolloré qui a starifié Eric Zemmour]. We explore the themes of insecurity, immigration, the environment and reindustrialisation ”, explains Erik Tegnér. The apprentice journalist has “Had the idea of the Black Book during the first confinement”, eager to wear her ” line “, considering that there was a niche to be taken next to very right-handed media like TV Libertés, Martial Bild’s internet channel, VA +, the YouTube channel of Current values, or youtubers Papacito and Valek Noraj.
