With the arrival of the documentary KISStory, new statements from Paul Stanley y Gene Simmons, the two original members of Kiss who are leading the helm of the band on this latest voyage of the “End of the Road Tour”.

Precisely, during the appearance of the bassist and vocalist in the space 6 ABC Action News, Simmons was asked to confirm that this would really be Kiss’s last tour, to which he responded by giving interesting reasons and details: “It is. And I’ll tell you why. I am 71 years old, although I am in very good shape. The hand does not tremble. I’ve never gotten high or drunk in my life. I never smoked tobacco, I never did. None of that… So we are in very good shape and we are eager to go out and do what we know how to do, but there is one important thing, which is to leave the stage while things are going well ”.

Gene takes us to an example from the world of sports: “I was a big fan of Muhammad Ali. He was in the ring too long. Rise to the top. If you’re going to surf, ride that tsunami, which is a thirty meter wave, and then don’t come back when there’s a little baby wave. Rise to the top”.

The bassist once again demonstrates his sense of showmanship: “Then, we will go out one last time. We start New Years Eve in Dubai, where it was completely safe, with the largest fireworks display of any entity other than the military, and the Guinness Book was there to certify it. Hundreds of millions of people on earth recorded it. It aired, although I hate streaming. I want people to see it live. You don’t want to see a movie of Godzilla, you want to be in the city that is being destroyed when Godzilla arrives. Is that what you want”.

Simmons ends by announcing that the end of Kiss will not be in all its forms, and lists the wide range of possibilities that fans have ahead of this Planet Kiss: “I don’t want to stay on stage too long. You don’t want to ruin the legacy. Then you can go to Las Vegas, play golf on the KISS golf course at the Rio Hotel. You can go on Kiss cruises… I want to be proud of what I do and not wait too long. It is like picking fruit when it is ripe. Don’t wait too long or it will rot. There is a point of diminishing returns. This is the right time. We’ll do a hundred and ten more cities around the world, and then we’ll hang up our boots. But that doesn’t mean there can’t be Kiss in other ways. There is an upcoming Netflix movie, our four hour documentary, there will be a Kiss cartoon. It will be Planet Kiss, which by the way, is also a registered trademark, and you all live in it ”.
